Triumph Spitfire MKII, 1965
Very early original Belgian Triumph Spitfire MKII. It is a so-called CKD, a complete knock-down car. These cars were delivered in parts from Britain to the Belgian factory in Seneffe. These CKDs originally delivered in Europe are quite rare, not many were produced. Triumph Spitfire MK2s are rare cars these days anyway. This car has valid Belgian papers and MOT. Since 1965, it has had only 3 owners. A beautiful specimen. the car is in very clean condition. The engine and transmission are in very good condition. We recently did a lot of work on the car. Brakes all around are new, so new calipers, brake lines and hoses, master cylinder. New clutch, new master and auxiliary cylinder, a completely new interior, i.e. seat covers and trim panels. A brand new hood is mounted in black vinyl. All new cooling hoses, new heater valve, new oil, new coolant. New spark plugs, rebuilt ignition, new fuel tank and the carburetors have been completely rebuilt. The differential is also completely overhauled.
All the chrome work is very clean. All electrics such as lights and meters work perfectly. The wooden steering wheel and wooden gear knob are period correct and truly beautiful. The paintwork is particularly neat, very tight. Not a speck of rust can be found on this Spitfire. The car has wire wheels which makes the car even more fun!
The new owner will be a happy man driving around with this early Spitfire.
