What a little bomb. Only 4 are still registered in the Netherlands . The Best of both worlds, UK and Italy. The successor to the Innocenti Mini of British Leyland and Innocenti in the early 70s. The modern lines were drawn by Bertone after the Leyland bankruptcy. The regular versions are already nice, but there was 1 man who interfered with the sports version , De Tomaso. This 1979 Innocenti Mini De Tomaso was the hot hatch of its time. The very smallest De Tomaso ever produced. A 1275 engine from the Mini with sharp camshaft delivering 74 HP, which was huge for a small car in those years. A scoop on the hood , expanded wheel wells in black, aluminum special rims, sport exhaust, sporty interior. What an appearance it was back then. Not for nothing were racing and rally cups driven with it in the 70's and 80's. A wonderful steer car that weighs nothing with relatively many HP, super! This Inno is a rarity, there are few of them built and as said only 4 in NL. The car is overcomplete. The engine hums great , what a sound comes from the sports exhaust. The fuel tank and pipes have been cleaned, fuel pump and float renewed. It is turn the key and go! The car drives, shifts and brakes fine. The body needs some TLC , it is true. However, the car is overcomplete. A lot of extra sheet metal comes with the car. A spare new old stock rear subframe, extra hood, 2 extra doors, a spare trunk lid with window, 2 rear windows and 3 boxes full of extra parts. Everything is tremendously rare, new no longer for sale.
