Immaculate and rare 1955 Austin Healey 100M in the two-tone color Reno Red over Black. This Matching Numbers Austin Healey BN1 is a car with full history. It came from the factory in the US with a BN2 overdrive 4-speed transmission. The car has had only 1 American owner. All paperwork, even the Austin Healey owner's card you got with a new Healey is with the car. This rock solid Healey came to the Netherlands in 2000 and also had only 1 Dutch owner. The car was owned by the owner of Healeys 4 U. NL, so you can imagine the technical condition of this car. For Wilbert, nothing is good enough, only the best. Earlier, around 2013, the engine had a complete overhaul at the Dutch specialist Van Giersbergen. In the process, the standard 100/4 was fitted with a 100M, Le Mans conversion. In addition to the standard conversion of carburetors , camshaft, airbox etc..etc., the Healey was also fitted with an aluminum cylinder head. It takes this 100M to an incredible 130 hp! What handling and what torque, a real 6 cylinder killer for sure. The 4-speed overdrive gearbox has had a complete overhaul at the Dutch specialist Von Munching, again only the best for this car. The front and rear suspension both have poly bushings to improve handling. The carburetors have been completely overhauled and the engine has an aluminum valve cover. The louvred hood with leather hood strap is specifically 100M and fits it perfectly. Together with the lowered windshield, the car looks mighty sporty! 72-spoke Dunlop wire wheels are fitted with Avon tires, the best on the market. To make sure it will stop even after a bit of acceleration, the car is fitted with a brake disc conversion, a huge improvement. Just after the engine overhaul, the car was completely repainted, the paintwork is still in perfect condition. The seams are incredibly good and tight. The interior, so the seats and upholstery panels are still original, very rare with nice patina. The carpet set had to be renewed, it was too worn.
