Original Dutch, matching numbers Frogeye of 1958. It is the early type, the 224th factory built car, the one with the 9 stud soft top attachment on the windshield frame. The car has been fully restored in the past and was owned by the previous owner for over 20 years. The car is still in excellent condition and very well maintained by a Healey specialist in the north of the Netherlands. The paintwork of this Sprite is absolutely stunning, incredibly glossy paint and tight seams. Even the underside and inner fenders are painted in the original Old English White color, exactly as they left the factory. The car is equipped with the original 948 engine that was completely rebuilt at the time. A few years ago, the rear crankshaft retaining ring was converted to the modern type to prevent leaks. The gearbox is a rib case from the 1275, a strong and reliable upgrade. There are 2 SU carburetors fitted and recently overhauled, the fitted K &N filters provide better flow and a bit more vermoegen. The interior was made as original as possible, a nice original red vinyl carpet set (very rare) , a black vinyl hood and a black vinyl tonneau cover were fitted, both still in excellent condition. The car has black vinyl sidescreens, almost like new. The seats and trim panels are fitted in red as originally belonged with the Old English White paint color. An original steering wheel is a rarity, beautiful and not available for years. !, The car is very well maintained and technically in very good condition, a turnkey example. The car is on original steel rims, rare these days. It comes with the chrome hubcaps with AH logo that were originally fitted.
