Very neat 1960 MGA 1600 MKI van in Red. This is a perfect example of a particularly neat drivers MGA, once restored in the past and very nicely maintained. The last owner has had it since 1991, enjoyed it wonderfully and maintained it very well. The paintwork is very clean and tight. The fit of the seams is particularly good. This MGA is equipped with the more powerful 1600 engine, the upgrade MG made after the 1500. At the front the car is equipped with disc brakes,the engine was overhauled by Vos Motorenrevisie and the clocks by van Putten. During the overhaul a new 5 speed Ford gearbox was fitted. The car is equipped with 123 ignition and the bottom is made of concrete plywood which is durable. For the rest, practically everything is newly mounted at the time, wheels, radiator, springs, dampers, suspension, starter motor, generator, wiring harness, etc. The car is fitted with twin SU HS4 carburetors with K&N filters for fine performance. An aluminum valve cover gives the right sporty look under the hood and seals much better than the standard sheet metal version. The 5-speed transmission shifts perfectly , everything about this A works properly. The seats are covered in black vinyl, as are the trim panels and the black soft top. The dashboard is upholstered in black vinyl as was factory standard. Everything is in clean condition. As befits a red Mg, the carpet set is done in black. A wooden Moto Lita steering wheel makes the classic cockpit even sportier. The car sits on the 60 spoke chrome wire wheels, which matched great with the red paint color. The chrome luggage rack allows you to take a beautiful suitcase on long weekends away.
