Incredibly beautiful, very early 1961 Triumph TR4. This Signal Red TR was recently body off restored, finished about 8 years ago. The chassis and suspension were done first, meanwhile the engine was completely rebuilt. Then the entire bodywork was taken care of. The car has super tight sheet metal with beautiful glossy paint. The car was completely done by a Dutch classic car enthusiast, he made everything as factory original. The man has done an excellent job, the chassis has been completely overhauled and the sheet metal is incredibly tight and beautifully and professionally painted. The chrome work around the car is still like new. Under the hood is just like the outside, it looks like new, incredible. The engine and transmission have been completely rebuilt and are in impeccable condition. The carburetors are SU's reliable HS version. The aluminum valve cover makes it sportier and closes better than the original. The interior is all done in black with white trim. A new black carpet set is fitted and the dashboard is painted white, as standard on early cars. The dashboard has been redone and the gauges have been overhauled and work perfectly. An iconic feature of this car are the incredibly rare Silverstone Magnesium wheels from American Racing Equipment (ARE). These wheels were used on competition and race cars in the early 1960s. Later, they were available as an expensive option on factory-built TR4-5s and 6s. They were only made for a few years; today they are extremely rare. The steering wheel is a leather Moto Lita MKIII steering wheel, a well-known brand among classic car enthusiasts and a perfect match with excellent grip. The soft top is brand new and made of black vinyl. A new black vinyl tonneau cover is available to close off the cockpit. Of course you prefer to drive with the roof open, but even with the roof closed the TR4 is beautiful. The car comes with a complete folder of invoices and photos of the restoration.
