Immaculately restored 1972 TVR 2500M in iris blue. With only 947 2500M cars built from 1972 to 1977, you can guess how rare they are today. Go find one, especially a left-hand drive one. This car has been what you can call body off restored, over the last few years. You can't buy a better one, I can assure you. The bare chassis was built up with new outtriggers and cross tubes, the chassis was sandblasted, painted, epoxy coated and given a black PU topcoat. This includes all suspension parts all around. Then the chassis was completely rebuilt with only the best available, so new brakes, calipers, cylinders, brake lines, pads, brake shoes, braided BF Goodrich hoses, etc. New wheel bearings, trunnions+bushes, vertical links, suspension has polybushes combined with adjustable AVO gas shocks all around. The engine has had a complete overhaul, everything inside has been renewed and is in perfect condition, high compression and like new. The overdrive gearbox has been completely overhauled with new bearings, original synchro rings, reverse gear, all seals, gaskets and o-rings. So engine and OD gearbox are in excellent condition. The wiring harness is completely new, as is all the electrics. The owner wanted some extra power and more reliability, so he changed the fuel system from worn carburetors to PI. He converted the car to a Triumph multipoint injection system. The Triumph throttle body and filter housing were used. A gas tank was added next to the gas tank and a megasquirt MS2 kit with mapping ECU was fitted to convert everything to gas injection.! Fantastically reliable and nice and cheap to drive. No switching from gasoline to gas, everything is installed so it works automatically. The car automatically starts on gasoline and switches to gas by itself. The cooling system which was always a troublesome issue with a TVR 2500M has been changed to a bigger and better system. Cruise control and a perfectly modern audio system complete the improvements. The exterior is like new, the car has been soda blasted down to the clear reinforced fiberglass, everything that was needed has been repaired, laminated, reinforced, insulated and professionally repainted. Beautifully sleek and smooth. The interior has been completely redone, all gauges rebuilt and the interior is completely new upholstered in alcantara and vinyl. The seats are early MX 5 seats, the only correctly fitting seats with perfect lateral support. The car has a heated windshield and a modern heater to make it all comfortable. The Brittax roof is made of Mohair, open your roof and you drive semi convertible, lovely. The original wheels from late Vixen and early 2500M fit this car so well, unbelievable! You must come and see this beauty. This car is so reliable you can easily turn the key and drive straight to southern Italy. Who will be the first for this rare TVR 2500M, no one knows how many of the 947 produced have actually survived the years!
